On Monday our Year 6 children will present their masterpieces in our annual Dragons' Den. Who will get the backing of the dragons?

Also on Monday our Rec and Y1 children take to the stage in their Christmas performances at 2pm and 6pm.

Our final Rec/Y1 performance is on Tuesday at 6pm.

On Tuesday morning Year 5 invite parents and carers to 'Stay and Sew' as part of their DT project.

The choir are on the road again for the second time this season, heading to entertain the residents of Marbury Court.

On Thursday parents and carers of Rec, Y1 and Y2 are invited to join in the festive fun for a craft morning in school

Finally on Friday, OSCA host the Grinch for a fun teatime.

At Darwin’s Den we really enjoy numerous activities that encourage the children to have fun, develop friendships and learn new skills. Some of our most popular activities are:

Lego
Colouring
Board game
Loombands
Block building
Taking care of dolls
Dancing and singing to “just dance”
Playing in the hall, with different sports equpiment

Our favorite indoor and outdoor games are “rock, paper, scissors game” and “floor is lava.” When the weather is nice we head over to the field and adventure playground.

We also take part in arts and crafts and baking activities linked to seasonal celebrations. We aim to show the children’s work and participation in these activities on our display boards that are located in our room - feel free to have a nosey when you visit.

We even find time to read to an adult - hooray homework done!

We encourage children to:

Use their manners
Help others
Be independent by assisting in preparation where appropriate and clearing away after themselves
Use their cutlery while eating
Eat their vegetables, house points seem to do the trick!
