Gardening Club

Hello Gardening Club!

I hope you are all well? How are your sunflowers doing?  Have they grown tall?

What a difference two weeks of sunshine has made to our greenhouse! The beans are now big enough to go out into the planters we made out of tyres.  I have put cane supports in to encourage them to climb.  I even had enough to plant some bean plants in the Reception area!  Elias was great at helping me to plant them!

I will be ready to plant out the peas at the weekend, we should have a better harvest of peas than last year (phew!).

Miss B kindly brought in some tomato plants for us.  They smell so good! They are now growing in the greenhouse.

The sunflowers are growing taller but are not quite ready to go out yet! I hope to put them at the front of school so you can see them if you walk by on your daily exercise with your responsible adult!

If you have been out in the garden, or if you have grown any flowers or vegetables, send me a picture to share on our new blog!

That's all for now, stay safe and enjoy looking at the world around you, the best time of year for a Gardener!

Ms Railton
